Working as an Assistant Professor at Yeditepe University's Department of Public Administration, Barış's main research areas are Environmental Politics, Environmental Movements and Environmentalist Non-Governmental Organizations, Green Parties and Green Political Thought. Social Movements, Urbanization and Environment, Global Environmental Politics and Local Government Research on awareness of climate change with support from the European Union and the Republic of Turkey that academics have their courses.
